RE: Car park on the Sea Cliff Reserve – Holbeck area.
I would just like to express my disappointment with the charges that have been introduced at the car park on the Sea Cliff Reserve. It was a lovely place to go for a warm drink, a wonderful sea view, interesting conversation from the adults operating
the ice-cream mobile van, and the opportunity for a brisk walk, and now once again, this comes with an extra cost.

Many visitors and locals that use this area have expressed their concerns as this was one of the few places left where the facilities did not come with extra charges, and a short stay could be enjoyed before journeying further. It is disappointing that the disabled are also included in the price charges.

Although costs have to be met some things in life should be free and there for everyone to enjoy, especially when they advertise the beauty of the place they are about to visit. I think if we are not careful, Scarborough will become like many towns that are known for taking money at every opportunity and will be in danger of losing the goodwill of its residents and visitors.

I am a resident in Scarborough and visit this area often. If there is the possibility the parking charges could be reconsidered I know many people would be grateful. I look forward to hearing from you.
