Published Date: 06 August 2008
With August upon us and Christmas just around the corner, why not save on the town's Christmas lights this year?
The week before Christmas hits, it would be a much better scheme to turn on all the traffic lights in the town. Surely there are enough now to make quite a dazzling display during the festive season.

We could have them flashing on and off in sequence and decorate their stands with tinsel. At other times, they could flash all three colours at the same time and mesmerise motorists as they sit endlessly waiting for permission to proceed. Has anyone else got any other ideas vis-à-vis the increasing policing of the traffic in the area?
