I WAS quite appalled when someone showed me the headlines on their daily paper on Saturday stating that the staff at Buckingham Palace were banned from wearing their poppies at a banquet they were having for state diplomats, the order being from the Foreign Office in case the ambassadors were offended.
What next? We wonder what is happening to our country, of which we were once so proud.
