A SCARBOROUGH pensioner, who suffered from a number of health problems, died of a heart attack, an inquest heard.
Donald England, 82, of Wreyfield Drive, was admitted to Scarborough Hospital on March 30, but his condition deteriorated and he died two days later. A post-mortem examination carried out on the retired civil servant, revealed the main cause of his death to be acute myocardial infarction due to coronary artery atheroma.

Dr Jennifer Hamilton, a home office pathologist, told the inquest at Norton Court that Mr England may have shown no symptoms before suffering the heart attack.

He also had fractured ribs following a fall at his home, along with other medical conditions.

Coroner Michael Oakley recorded that Mr England died of natural causes, adding: “He had a number of falls and one would expect that of a man of his age and particular health conditions.”
