STAFF at the North York Moors National Park have lined up a series of family events this month.
Every Wednesday at the park’s Danby Centre families can get back in touch with nature by learning to light a fire without a match, use it to make a hot drink and then drink it in a homemade shelter.

The venue offers a Hide Away in the Woods day where youngsters learn how to make camouflage and build a waterproof centre. Other events include canoe trips, making t-shirts from leaves and a Dinosaur Coast Activity Day on Tuesday.

For details of events, or to book, call (01439) 772738 or email www.visitthemoors.co.uk/events
