HUNDREDS of Scarborough students found out if they made the grade today, after receiving their A-level results.
Celebrations were quickly under way at Scarborough Sixth Form College where a record number of students achieved the top grades.
The A-level pass rate at the college was more than 96 per cent with a college record of 43 per cent of exam results graded A or B.
A total of 35 students from the college gained three, four or five A grades.
Principal Tom Potter said: "We are delighted for our students, their success and their improved future options. The students and staff have worked hard to achieve this and I am proud of their endeavours and the college's service to the community."
This was the last year Scarborough College students studied A-levels. From September all students will study the International Baccalaureate programme.
